Preity Zinta donates her hairs

One of our Bollywood celebrities Priety Zinta has made an apt use of her fame. She has recently donated her hair for the cancer patients in the US. We all know the dimpled beauty has a golden heart.

The actress-cum-entrepreneur was supposed to have a hair cut for her forthcoming film. She though loves her locks too much but however sacrificed them for the role. When she saw her hair on the ground, an idea struck her mind. She immediately decided to donate her hair to the cancer patients.

A source informs a tabloid, “Preity keeps experimenting with her looks, but it had been a while since she was sporting long hair. So, seeing the excess hair chopped, she decided on the spur of the moment that she should donate it and maybe help people.”

Well Preity you just gave us one more reason to admire you.

Preity Zinta is back in IPL 2012 to support her team, Kingx XI Punjab

Preity Zinta said, “I’m not a quitter! This has been my baby since its inception and I’d only bail out if things went terribly wrong.”

After the last year’s controversy, a lot had went wrong when issues between BCCI and Lalit Modi resulted in expel of Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals. When the team owners moved to court, they were only then permitted to take part in auction and play against a security of eight million dollars.

Preity Zinta sadly says, “It’s been tedious and heart-wrenching. The dialogue with BCCI continues. At the auction, the economics changed and we started out at a disadvantage since we had to pay double.”

She adds, “We couldn’t bid for a dozen extra players, but we got the ones we wanted. For us it’s not so much about buying players as building a team. We have young talent and despite some unforeseen injuries, we’re hoping they come together under Gilly (captain Adam Gilchrist).”

She feels Gilchrist is superb player. “Gilly is a terrific team player and I have my hopes pinned on him. This is a crucial year for us,” confesses Preity.

Yuvraj was the ex-captain of Preity’s team and has returned India after his Cancer treatment. On Yuvi she says, “Yuvi is a fighter and I hope to see him return to the field soon.”

However, the actress admits that she will be not present for all the matches as she is busy with acting and producing her film ‘Ishq In Paris’.

“I didn’t expect my film to clash with the IPL, but we have a big schedule in India in about 10 days. There are a couple of other surprises in store. After three-and-a-half years of saying I don’t do shows, I went on stage on Sunday. There’s lots happening, I’m back to doing everything,” exclaims Preity.

Preity Zinta to miss IPL 2012

Preity Zinta is otherwise known for regularly cheering her cricket team players at the matches. Preity this time however is busy with her upcoming movie ‘Ishkq in Paris’.

“I am not sure if I will be seen much in the IPL this year as I am very busy with my film ‘Ishkq in Paris’,” informed Preity who visited Delhi on Saturday to attend the engagement party of Raakhe Kapoor, the daughter of Rana Kapoor, founder and CEO of YES Bank with Alkesh Tandon who is a Delhi based entrepreneur.

Though the ‘pretty woman’ maintains that it is her movie that is keeping her busy and her hectic schedule doesn’t allow her to regularly visit the cricket stadium, but if sources are to believe, they have a different story to tell.

A close source to Preity reveals, “Preity Zinta is quite fed up with IPL and also the politics involved in it. Moreover, she feels that her name is used many times in the wrong way. That is why she has decided to keep away from IPL 2012.”

Hmm, we guess the source is right somehow, what say?

A source claims, “She is very strict for her schedule. She takes care of her diet very well. She first goes to gym in morning and then do rest of the work.”

Even while shooting she used to call her mom back in India before starting the shoot for the day. She was in constant touch with her family and friends even from Paris. Back in India she is spending quality time with her friends.

Though her routine has changed but she tries that her regime doesn’t get affected. She recently tweeted, “Hello friends, coming back to home is so amazing.”

One thing amidst all this, Preity Zinta hates to be called aunty. When anyone calls her an aunty, she gets irritated.
She recently posted, “People older than 50 years with white hair, why called my mother aunty, I don’t know.”

Preity Zinta's IPL dream into loss

KPH Dreams has recorded a loss of Rs. 32.82 crore in 2009 -10. KPH Dreams has filed financial statements with Registrars of Companies in which it has reported a net loss of Rs 35.26 crore for the year 2010-11. This loss is the highest loss which is suffered by the company ever since the IPL has started in 2008.

Last year in March Kings XI Punjab was reportedly looking at reaching break. The company has borne more loss than the income generated. The total expenses were Rs. 85.14 crore in 2010-11 while the income was of total Rs 49.88 crore.
According to the details submitted the firm’s total income went down to Rs 49.88 crore in 2010-11. Major source of income of Kings XI Punjab’s has been franchise rights and sponsorship fee. The sales of tickets sought income of Rs 5.74 crore in 2010-11.

According to the shareholding pattern in the company, actress Preity Zinta and industrialist Ness Wadia have stakes of 23 per cent each, while rest is owned by Mohit Burman another industrialist, Karan Paul Chairman of Apeejay- Surrendra Group, Colway Investment and Root Investment.

In 1995 a romantic drama of Hollywood film industry brought immense commercial success besides critical appreciation. This film was ‘Before Sunrise’ and it created much buzz at that time. The story of this film was about a young American man and a French woman.

They two meet on a train in Europe and part after spending a romantic evening together in Vienna. But least idea did they have that this was their last meeting. The lead pair was Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy and the director was Richard Linklater. The film was a blockbuster and later a sequel of it was even made ‘Before Sunset’.

Now it is Preity’s film which is loosely based on this movie. Preity’s movie is titled ‘Ishq in Paris’. She would be romancing a French actor in the movie whose name is a secret. Even the crew members don’t know the name which has been kept under wraps. A source close to Preity informs, “All I can tell you is that it’s a huge French star.”

The film would be going on floors in the next week of November. Reportedly Preity had finding a hero and so a French actor is being introduced to Bollywood. ‘Ishq in Paris’ would be set in France. The huge part of the film would be shot in Paris and would feature the tourist spots of the place including the Louvre Museum and Eiffel Tower.

A reliable source informs, “Preity Zinta has got an impressive fan base in France and she has got a special permission from the French Government to shoot at various spots with very minimal charges.”

Almost after a gap of two years Preity is making a comeback in Bollywood through her own production company, PZNZ Media, which she has recently launched.

The writer and director of the film Prem Soni however says that this film is not based on ‘Before Sunrise’.

Preity Zinta hiding Her Face At the Airport

Looking as stunning as always in a chic beige fedora with ankle length boots and donning a leather jacket Preity Zinta looked extremely beautiful. Anybody in her place would have posed for the camera in such a smart outfit.

Though Preity Zinta was looking beautiful and happening yet she refused to see eye to eye anyone. People present there at the airport can’t help wondering why was she doing so? Her cool and fashionable avatar was a matter of pride. But what was that she had been hiding her face from rest of the others.

Buzz was hot that reason for Preity’s shyness could be her discomfort after the cosmetic surgery she has gone through. Post going under the knife her fans and even she is not happy with the outcome. May be this is reason behind the hiding act of Preity.

Another reason might be her minus make up face which she was trying to hide from the camera lenses. But watch out baby! If you continue to walk with a down face you might hit a pole right in front of you. She might be thinking that to show off a face sans makeup is not a good idea indeed.

Preity Zinta with Award at Venice Film Festival
